Diverse and cosmopolitan, the Western Pennsylvania region has about 2.5 million residents, including over 7,000 international students studying at its universities.
Quality education, in a world-class city
Maybe you want the very best education available. Or maybe you want to put your career on the fast track by perfecting your English and working with top professionals in your field. Whatever your reasons, one thing is clear: you next step is to study in the U.S.A.
The Chatham University- Kansai University study programs brings students from Kansai University to study at Chatham for 10 months. Students begin in the English Language Program: building their language fluency and speaking skills, before taking courses in the Fall semester with American students. All courses are taught in English.

A city of neighborhoods!
Chatham University is in a great location, offering students the comforts of a peaceful campus with access to a vibrant city and activities within minutes. Interested in major sporting events? Visiting a world-class zoo or amusement park? The opera or symphony?

In Pittsburgh, you’ll find a wide range of cultural offerings, such as the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, art museums (including the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Andy Warhol Museum), and many shopping opportunities. The beautiful 640-acre Frick Park is a 15-minute walk from campus and has many trails for hiking and mountain biking. You can explore exciting caves, take hikes in pristine landscapes, and go camping and white water rafting in one of the many nearby state parks. Chatham is a short ride from the Pittsburgh International Airport, which has easy connections to other major U.S. cities and international destinations. All Chatham students receive bus passes that permit easy access to the amenities of the city. You can also rent a bicycle from Chatham’s bike shop.

Many of Chatham’s campus buildings (including residence halls) are historic mansions in the upscale Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Shadyside and Squirrel Hill. These small, friendly neighborhoods are located just minutes from the arts and commerce of Pittsburgh.
